This is the time of the year when the areas are less crowded and you will benefit from this. You will get a better price on the merchandise and for your overall trip around the destination itself, you can expect to pay less. Locals are friendlier when they see less tourists since this gives them some time to themselves, and you will have the opportunity to spend more time with the locals and find out things that you otherwise would not. Ok so many of you would not consider it a vacation unless you have had the chance to get away from home and enjoy the luxury of being taken care of. Due to economic and financial strains, many of us can not afford to get away. It is difficult for us to carry our vacation time forward and with many companies, you stand to loose your vacation days if you are not able to take them before a specified time period. For those people, you can still take your vacation time and with a little creativeness, you can have a great vacation time right in your back yard, literally! Here are a few things you can do to have an exciting and eventful vacation in your back yard.

* Plan a day of barbeque and movies with your family. You can set a theme and have a great day and you don’t have to do it alone. Get everyone in your family involved and even invite outsiders to join you in your fun filled day.
* If you have always wanted to take that Caribbean vacation, then set a theme for the day. Set up a tiki bar in your back yard and if you have a pool, open it up. If not find a temporary pool and you too can be sitting next to your pool sipping on your cocktails. Tell your extended family to join you. In a gathering like this, the more people you have the merrier it is.
* Many of you enjoy a very relaxing vacation without any kind of outside interference. For you, the best place is you back yard. Get a book and just spend the day lounging around. You will feel like you are away from everything else in your life, for that specific moment.
